I bring to this blog more than 20 years of experience as a travel writer and globetrotter who appreciates a four-star dining experience as much as the discovery of a bargain hotel room that’s as clean and attractive as the higher-priced chain around the corner. I have lived and worked in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, New Jersey and Los Angeles. Yet I still consider Pennsylvania home and return as often as possible to see family and friends and get my fix of cobblestones, Ben Franklin, and, yes, cheesesteaks. No matter what they tell you, they just aren’t as good west of the Susquehanna.
